Varicocelectomy
Which type of varicocelectomy is best now ,because iam suffering from bilateral grade 1varicocele ,it's causing pain and discomfort.my left testicle lying down causing paining.so which type of surgery best for varicocele present

Hi The best results are with what is called microsurgical varicocelectomy whereby the surgeon uses microscope to identify and cut off all veins by making one small cut in each groin. The alternative possibilities are laparoscopic varicocele ligation or radiological embolisation. All have them have more than 85% success rate. Having said that if it is grade 1 varicocele, it is unlikely to cause pain and hence I would warn you that pain may not be completely relieved after varicocele surgery
