practice good hygiene by wearing cotton underwear and changing out of wet clothes, avoid scented feminine products like soaps, tampons, and pads, maintain a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and regular exercise, manage any underlying health conditions like diabetes, use condoms during sex, and visit obstetrician for proper treatment if you suspect an infection.

Recurrent vaginal infections are fairly common, especially when both bacterial and yeast infections occur. Factors like stress, antibiotic use, hormonal changes, diabetes, or poor vaginal hygiene may increase recurrence. Using medicated ointments and V wash helps, but long-term prevention involves lifestyle measures too.
Next Steps
• Maintain good intimate hygiene (avoid harsh soaps, keep the area dry).
• Wear loose, cotton underwear and avoid prolonged dampness.
• Limit excessive use of vaginal washes, as they may disturb natural flora.
• If you are diabetic, keep sugars under control.
• Complete the full HPV vaccination schedule.
• If infections keep recurring, a detailed evaluation may be needed to identify the root cause.
