Use of pacifier
Hi. My daughter is 15 days old. She cries a lot during night time. Is it safe to give pacifier to her from now or should we wait more? What is the safe age for pacifier use for a new born baby? Any advice on type of pacifier we can use?

Pacifiers are preferably to be avoided as they are a source of infection.  Breastfeed the baby adequately. As babies they tend to cry. If you are unable to console the baby within half hour it requires attention or else its fine 🙂

Hi! Ideally pacifiers are not recommended at any age. They are the major source of infection.when a baby cries it can be for feeds ,any wet nappies, tummy colic etc . Few babies get consoled with mothers touch or when taken In lap etc. Check for any of these.
