My mother is on diabetes type 2, and has been taking gluconorm pg2 from past two months. I also found there are many other generic medicines with the same composition as gluconorm pg2 by lupin which is exorbitantly priced. So can one substitute the overly priced medicine by a generic medicine with the same composition while latter also being reasonably priced?
Regards.

Yes if composition is exactly same you can take other brands also but do keep checking her sugar levels as some generic medicines has only 80% efficacy so you have to monitor her levels regularly to avoid any derangement
