Urine culture detects?
Can Routine urine test and urine culture detect chlamydia or gonorrhoea is present? In urine culture do they test for these also? Or separate urine culture method is required for testing chlamydia and gonorrhoea? If in urine culture result if bacteria is present That means is there any chance... Chlamydia and gonorrahea may present? Please clarify... Thankyou in advance pleaseeee

Routine urine test doesn't  detect chlamydia and gonorrhea Urine culture.. yes they do test for all the organisms if any present.. Chlamydia and gonorrhea there are different tests... Microbiologist will check and diagnose Kindly visit a dermatologist venerologist for the consultation

It is possible. The urine is inoculated on the culture medium by the Pathologist. Whatever organisms are grown are further studied. Gonococcus and Chlamydia don't need any special method for diagnosis. So they may grow. But there are simpler methods to diagnose Gonorrhoea.
