Urinary tract infection
Hi, I am having chronic uti ...recently had my urine test and culture test where pus cells were 4 to 6 but culture showed no bacteria present..my gynaecologist asked me to take niftran 100 mg twice a day for a month...is it a high dose? Should I take it only once a day?

Get ultrasound of KUB (Kidney, bladder, ureter) region done, if not done earlier.
Next Steps
Show the reports to Gynaecologist/ Nephrologist.

Hi.... Drink plenty of water. Water helps to dilute your urine and flush out bacteria. Avoid drinks that may irritate your bladder.Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices or caffeine until your infection has cleared. They can irritate your bladder and tend to aggravate your frequent or urgent need to urinate.... Continue prescribed medications....
