Urgent Consultation Need
My son who has successfully completed M.Tech. and is teaching as proffessor in university. he is suffering from some behaviour disorder type thing. Now currently he has left the job therefore behaves very aggressive at a moment and after that suddenly becomes completely normal. He is under treatment of Sulpitac 100 mg tablets. please suggest that what shall be done further. Also that he has seen death of his parents at a very young age when he was only 14. I am his massi(maternal aunt). He also feels sleepless at night. Doctor suggested tablet Flurilept and Rize Plus tablets. But he did not take flurilept yet. Earlier he has taken Sulpitac200 and Rize Plus 2mg that time he has been perfrctly normal. But now doctor has decreased sulpitac to 100mg now again he behaves problematic at times. Please suggest what is the exact issue. and also as he becomes completely and perfectly normal when is with a companion therefore shall we for his marriage ?

It seems you need to know regarding his illness completely. Psychoeducation from the present doctor is very important.
Also, try to see wether he takes doubts and looks suspiciously, he smiles and talks to himself or spending behaviour increased etc. There is a reason behind aggression. Try to find it out whether it's due to demands, obsession or paranoia. You can explain accordingly to the psychiatrist and also need to assure whether your patient is taking medicines properly. Sometimes they show that they are taking medicines but they don't swallow tablets and secretly throw them away( just a possibility).

Explain aggressive behaviour to psychiatrist,in spite of being on medicines.
You can request for some injectable medicines if possible and review of medications needed urgently.

Dear maam, it is very important for this young man to be diagnosed properly and to be treated consistently with a single psychiatrist. It might be too early to decrease doses of medications and change them.
Marriage does not cure mental illness, it in fact worsens them due to the added responsibility and stress. Please don't consider marriage till he is under proper treatment and stable at least for a year or so.

Hello. Pls ask your doctor for a proper diagnosis. Take a psychiatric consultation . It looks like psychosis or bipolar!! Has there been any history of suspiciousness or hearing voices etc?
He should be fine wth only one medicine. At early part of illness combination therapy should be avoided. Sulpitac 250 to 400 may be tried.
