At 5 weeks you should go with pills understanding that medical abortion may  have a failure rate

Pills : pros: no admission no anesthesia no risk of injury Cons : long bleeding period, pain, evacuation may remain incomplete requiring d and c, more hormonal imbalance in next cycles D and c : pros : complete evacuation, next cycle return to normal hormonal status is faster, less to no bleeding, less pain. Cons: half day admission, anesthesia/sedation, very small chance of injury.

Better to go for medical abortion. If it fails or you have prolonged bleeding you can go for D and C
