Hello, I understand you mention symptoms of severe pain in lower back for your mother who is approximately over the age of 65yrs. For an elderly person with such severe pain it is not advisable to suggest medication without knowing her detailed medical history considering she has diabetes, blood pressure and thyroid. This looks like a case of degenerative spine disorder which is causing such severe pain. I would advice you to take appointment with us through practo for detailed medical history, findings and accurate treatment.
Next Steps
Consult directly with me, your orthopaedic doctor, through Practo for detail history, discussion and treatment plan. Here we can chat or can also do audio or video consultation for detailed management. Take appointment for thorough prescription and consultation
Health Tips
Avoid lifting heavy weights, Avoid bending forwards. Improve posture. Hot fomentation for lower back.
