Surgery around the hip around 4-5 could have affected the growth potential. You need a clinical examination and x rays to confirm the diagnosis and treatment can be offered accordingly.

You must see an orthopedic surgeon, get examined and if required, X-rays to be done. Since you had this Surgery as a child, and you are now 27 yrs, it is very difficult to answer your question without proper examination and understanding of the issue.
