Umbilical granuloma
Hello Doctor,
My baby is 3 months old. After the cord fell off, there was an umbilical granuloma. I applied salt multiple times (10 to 15 times Total), and now it has become very small with no discharge.
Kindly advise if any further treatment is needed.

Looking at the pictures it has considerably reduced.Look for any discharge or redness in that area. Have your paediatrician checked directly at next vaccination visit.

Your baby's umbilical area seems to be healing well, as indicated by the shrinking tissue and absence of active fluid discharge.While salt is a documented home option that draws moisture out through osmosis, applying it 10 to 15 times is highly repetitive.The area should be kept completely clean and dry, exposing the navel to air by folding the diaper down
