You have a 3.5 mm cyst in your Thyroid gland. Such a small cyst can't be felt by physical examination. No Surgeon can pick such a small cyst during surgery.
If I was the patient I would have ignored it for the time being and got a sonography done every year.
But you can consult a few other Surgeons especially Endocrine Surgeons and decide further action.
By the way who advised you the scan for Thyroid and why?
