Hii dear.. In your situation diet modification is very important. Take low spices in diet, low fat diet which is known as bland diet so that the food does not irritate your bowel. For gaining weight u can have protein rich foods as well as high calorie diet but it needs certain modifications so that it doesn't worsen your problem.
Next Steps
U should follow a planned diet according to your condition.

Don't ever take any unrecommended medicine, specially when you are having some medical constraints. Your height is required to judge your perfect weight requirement. In case of ulcerative colitis, you should stick to prescribed diet plan which should include lots of emolient diet, that will be responsible for your weight gain too. Consult with me via Practo for Customised diet & Exercise plan & lifestyle modifications. Thanks
