Typhoid igm
After how long does typhoid igm get negative completed antibiotics course of zifi o 10 days and last month 5 days 2g Monocef 2 times and 10 days antibiotics. Did test again typhoid igm is weak positive. Kindly help with the same

Typhi igm appears at around day 5 of your infection and can stay positive for upto 3-4 months . Once positive it means active infection . Typhoid typically lasts for 14 days , treatment is not aimed at having a negative typhi igM , you need not worry regarding the same . Once you have symptomatic control , typhi igm on follow up has no role .

Igm may remain positive for 2 to 4 months after typhoid fever. Just avoid fatty food   Take small frequent meals with more of fresh vegetables and fruits. Tab supradyn one morning and one evening for 30 days.
