Hello, Tuberculosis (TB) treatment usually takes a minimum of 6 months with regular medicines. In some cases, depending on the type of TB, overall health, and response to treatment, the course may extend longer (sometimes 9 months or more). Take care and wishing you a full recovery.
Next Steps
Since you are already on treatment for 2 months, it is important to: • Continue your medicines exactly as prescribed, without missing doses. • Go for regular follow-up visits and tests (sputum tests, X-rays, blood work) to monitor progress. • Inform your doctor if you notice persistent cough, fever, weight loss, or new symptoms.
Health Tips
Most patients start feeling better within the first 2–3 months, but completing the full course is essential to prevent relapse or drug resistance. With proper adherence and follow-up, TB is completely curable in the majority of cases. For safe and effective recovery, I would advise you to stay in close follow-up with your treating chest specialist/pulmonologist so that your progress can be monitored and treatment adjusted if needed.

Hello Depending on the type of organ affected it depends ,around 6-9 months. If you hav been eating your medicines regularly and you have done your revised sample examination as suggested by your doctor , and its negative , you are highly unlikely to be infective.
Next Steps
Continue medicines as per you doctor’s advice and go for regular follow ups.And take a high protein diet.
