TSH clarification
I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism last week. The current value noted to be 90. i have leg cramps, swelling, weight gain (gained 4kg on 15 days time), tiredness, sleeplessness and heavy periods (only last time). I would like to know if I start medication, how long it will take to subsidise the symptoms associated with it? Generally how long it will take to become normal? My current weight is 64 and height is 152. i generally follow a good diet.

Symptoms are related to hypothyroidism.Normally it takes about 8-10 weeks to see the results after you have initiated the treatment . Adhering to the treatment protocol i.e. in relation to timing and food, is equally important.periodical monitoring of thyroid function tests is done to adjust the dosage accordingly.
