Typhoid fever from 20-25 days is really odd!!!!! Along with thrombocytopenia ( that is low platelet count) is also a rare feature. If fever persists , please do consult for a alternative diagnosis. If it is associated with oral ulcer, photosensitivity rash, joint pain then you need to visit a Rheumatologist. Do not go for a baby at this stage of illness.
Next Steps
Monitor symptoms and platelet count

With such low platelet counts don't try, wait for your wife's health to recover. Risk of abortion will be there and it can be harmful to your wife also.
