Trying to concieve
I have a doubt.I got my lower abdomen ultrasound done on 20 days from the date of my period to know endometrium lining it was 8.7 mm and follicles of 17.9 x10 mm. Is it normal as many sites mention it should be bigger so that egg is released

One time scan cannot tell. It should be follow up scan which is called follicular monitoring. It usually starts from day 9 of periods. U can go for serum progesterone test on day 21 to find out whether u have ovulated or not

To know   better  about  Egg size, you should  do Follicular  study  scan,it's usually  done at 2 to 3 days intervals, 3 to 4 times from around  Day 10 of period  to track  the egg development.
