Trisomy 21 in double marker & NIPT
Hi Doctor, I am 15 weeks pregnant now. In my double marker test I got trisomy 21 as high risk. And in NIPT I got low risk.  Please tell me is there any problem for my baby in future baby will be fine or not  . I am worried a lot and confused of this results. Which results are correct NIPT is low risk, fetal fraction 10.6% Double marker test- trisomy 21 as high risk By age 1:1158 Final 1:145 Cut off 1:250

Double marker is a screening test Nipt is a diagnostic test If nipt is normal U can relax Go fr an early anomaly scan

If you are worried and confused then you should consult with a Specialist in Foetal Medicine and Genetics. You have to take the final call and I wonder if there are many Doctors on Tele-consultation who can give proper advice on the subject. The main problem is that YOU have to take the final call.

As nipt test is low risk chances are less but always better to confirm on invasive test, Need detail history also,

As it comes under high risk ni pta can't tell the result. For high risk people invasive testing is mandatory to know for sure.
