Yes there is effective treatment for chicken pox.
However, this has to be started as early as possible in the disease process or progression.
There is no such thing as 'prone to a disease' unless there is some sort of immunocompromised issue.
A viral disease (like chicken pox) is easily transmitted to those not immunized and even if vaccinated, can develop the disease albeit in a less aggressive form.
