Travelling in 19 week
Hi, I am pregnant and completing 18 weeks today. Me and my husband planning to go to my in-law place by car. its is roughly 500km. We planned for 5 month scan this week before we go. but my doctor denied for scan. she asked us to come on or after 21st week. Please suggest me whether i can travel now or should i wait for my scan, which is after 3 week. (In my last NT Scan, doctor advised that i have anterior placenta. )

It’s never 100% safe to travel in pregnancy.the question is not about doing ultrasound but the travel can lead to discomfort and infection and any bleeding etc what we are concerned .the call for doing the ultrasound now or later is completely your gynecologist decision.do accordingly please.stay safe .

Hi there, Please do scan now itself if you have crossed 18 weeks. Anomaly scan can be done after 18 weeks. After the scan take fitness and then you can travel. Avoid jerks while traveling and avoid eating food from outside and avoid using public toilets. It will be difficult to travel in this pandemic 500 km
