1. Trauma and fear are two very different terms 2. Both are very subjective, abstract and don’t have a numerical value attached to it. I understand the accident must have been difficult to process and accept but in order to move ahead in life you should seek help (whether from your loved ones or from professionals) And if there is a fear that has been attached to it then you should definitely seek psychotherapy. There are a number of treatments models that will help you overcome your fear. Hope you feel better. Take care

Try psychotherapy

Hi, I am sorry that you are feeling this way. I am sure this is tough. Trauma isn’t what happened to you but it’s how your nervous system responded to what happened to you that comes up as trauma. The internal trauma takes its own time to heal and might need some therapy session conducted in a safe space so the underlying emotions can be released. Once the fear is released in a. Safe space the nervous system will go back to homeostasis And you will feel better. You will also be able to travel by bus. Take care.

Hi, It can be long lasting. It depends on the situation, individual experience, treatment and mental state. If treatment starts as early as traumatic event happens, can be very effective and fast. If it starts later, treatment needs more time to effect. A therapist/psychologist can help you to get rid of this fear as it seems Post traumatic stress is still there. Please take care
Next Steps
Consult with a psychologist/therapist as soon as possible.

Hi... Trauma is a mental condition so there is no timeline to how long it can last. Mind has a capability to keep memories alive and real timelessly, so do negative or traumatic experiences as well. If you are still experiencing such fear, it would be wise to get yourself checked for PTSD.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
