Can total knee replacement surgery be done on both knees at the same time? If not how much do you need to wait between each surgery?

I do Bilateral knee replacement (both knees) at the same time if the patient is medically fit and has no anesthetic contraindications. If a gap is given between each knee, 3 months would be an ideal period.

Surgery for both knees can be done at the same time. There is no specific time interval between the two surgeries. The final call is taken upon by the operating surgeon and anaesthetist based on overall medical fitness of the patient.
