I am having toothache on my upper left 2nd last molar tooth for the past 3 days. I have consulted a dentist who also did an X ray but still was not able to detect the problem and suggested me to have pain killer. The pain is recurring after the affect me of the pain killer seizes. please help.

The treatment depends on the diagnosis of the tooth has dental caries and pain is due to it root canal treatment is required.
If it is due to gum infection then proper cleaning root planning and treatment follows.

If the tooth has a cavity it may require a root canal treatment. If it is a gum infection treatment depends on that. If no dental issues then sinus problem should be ruled out by ENT
