it needs x ray diagnosis , if caries is not deep then only filling is sufficient but if the caries has involved blood supply of tooth the tooth then rct may be required . or if there is just food logment the filling have to be replaced

Please remember there are various factors involved for the same condition. Firstly get an x ray done and your dentist will evaluate if there is any secondary decay below that filling.
Accordingly post both clinical and radiographical check up a diagnosis would be made and then the treatment can be discussed.

Consult a dentist for xray of that tooth. but as per your symptoms its most likely will go for RCT only.
