Hello sir.. Tooth pain is due to two reasons... one is due to infection of teeth that reaches pulp layer ( nerves and blood vessels) and other may be due to impacted wisdom teeth ...First and foremost x-ray has to be taken to rule out the causes of tooth ache... if it is due to infection of teeth then root canal treatment is necessary...if it is due to wisdom teeth that needs surgical removal of teeth...Medication is only temporary relief.... you need to treat it by visiting dentist for permanent cure
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for furthur clinical examination and management

Swelling means that there is infection and that requires 3-5 days of antibiotics to subside. Try cold compressions and painkillers and he will be comfortable in 1-2 days Conplete the treatment advised by the dentist so that will not recur.

Namaskaram, Pain is a protective response that ranges from minor sensitivity to severe pain and informs the body that something is wrong. As for tooth pain, it is caused by a reaction of the nerves inside a tooth's pulp chamber with the severity dependent upon the type and degree of the stimulus.Constant massive pain , swelling of the gum and sensitivity to touch indicates: A tooth may have an infection/abscess that has spread from the pulp into the surrounding periodontal tissues (“peri” – around; “odont” – tooth) and bone.Antibiotics prevents further damage but source of infection has to be identified .Don't delay, please see your dentist as soon as possible to have your dental status reviewed and treated — remember your teeth are supposed to last for a lifetime Team Shambhala
