Tooth pain after 5 weeks of RCT
Got RCT done about 5 weeks ago. Since there was pain when tapping tooth and dull pain also, can't bite hard food, dentist asked me to wait to get the crown. He took xray and said RCT is successful. He's asking me to wait for few more weeks. Is this normal? Please help! There was very little bleeding from the tooth 2 times when brushing. Gums look normal, maybe slightly red, but dentist said it looks normal. Help please!

Hi... Pain post Root canal treatment is very normal. As your dentist has said that the RCT is a success, then don't worry.Wait for some more time.
Next Steps
Wait for few more weeks,if it does not subside, then we have to see if there is a crack in the tooth or missed canal .You can get a CBCT done .(only if the pain does not subside after few more weeks)
Health Tips
Do not  bite any hard food from the RCT treated tooth ,as there will be higher risk of tooth fracture.
