Tooth infection
Dear Doctor, I am 45 year old male. About 3 months back I felt severe pain in my upper jaw tooth. I consulted a dentist who said there is an infected tooth and prescribed tablets and injection. After taking the medicines the pain subsided and disappeared completely. I started using sensodyne tooth paste also. Now after 3 months the pain started again. Should I take the tablets prescribed earlier (like combiflame etc) or should I go back to the doctor for tooth extraction. Pls advice and help.

You should definitely go to dentist and get your X-ray done again.. medicine give only temporary relief but the infection is there.  There might be pus at root of this tooth which can affect other nearby tooth if u delay more.
Next Steps
go to nearby dentist, dont delay, he might advise u  root canal followed by cap.

Infection always comes back if you are not taking treatment to remove the cause. Using a paste will not provide a change to an infected tooth.  For emergency ie for time being take D medicines in your prescription and get treatment done ... Donot prolong it until it starts to swell up
