Tooth extremely sensitive to pressure
I had a root canal to put on a dental cap on my lower lateral incisor for cosmetic reasons. The tooth was perfectly healthy prior the treatment but every since the root canal the tooth has been very sensitive to pressure that I can't even touch it with pain and I can't even take a bite with it. I had visited my dentist several times and she said there was no infection and slight soreness is expected post root canal treatment. But it's been nearly 7-8 months and it's still just as painful as day 1. Now I regret even getting the cap.
What could be the reason for this pain? And how do I cure it?

You better go for second opinion from some other dentist..I guess the root canal treatment must not have done properly..get an x ray and go for re- root canal treatment if necessary

You will need to probably repeat the root canal . Consult a good endodontist and he can do the root canal through the crown so you need not repeat the crown

Pls get the Intraoral X-ray done, problem may be due to deficient BMP(a step in RCT) or may be due to food accumulation around the cap.

Hi sir,
Kindly first take x ray of the teeth and see whether there is any infection still left in the tooth, if yes then again proper root canal treatment is required. If there is no problem with the root canal treatment , then there is problem with your tooth cap placed.
