Tooth extraction side effects
I am a 26 year old and planning to go for braces & doctor has suggested to extract my pre-molars. But I am afraid for extraction. Is extraction harmful for my eye sight and brain? Will they remove my 4 teeth altogether or on separate days? After extraction in how many days they will put the brace?

Its absolutely safe to remove these teeth. No bad effects on eyes or brain occur. Extraction should preferably be done on one side followed by the other side

Hi Whenever their is crowding in teeth, some teeth are extracted to create space to align the rest. So it's completely safe to extract as they are the part of treatment. Their is no effect on brain or eye sight. So go ahead. You can ask for one tooth extracted in one visit or can go for extraction on one side then on another side, depending upon you or doctor. Stay safe n healthy

Greetings, Being an Orthodontist myself, sometimes we have to take the last resort to extract the premolar teeth to resolve crowding or severe anterior inclination of the teeth. There are no side effects of extraction of these teeth (vision or brain). Usually I recommend my patients to extract the teeth on one side first followed by the other side after a week so that the patient is able to chew the food from the other side of extraction painlessly, and so that they have a more comfortable experience. Regards.

Good evening mam, I have gone through your concern. It is totally safe to do extraction of your upper and lower teeth. There is no side effects (Damages in Brain or vision of eyes) associated with teeth extraction. premolar extraction is aimed to resolve the tooth size arch size discrepancy, to permit correction of axial inclination of anterior teeth, or to reduce vertical height of the face.
