Pediatrician has prescribed clotrimazole + betamethasone cream by glenmark candid-b cream for toothache for 3.8 year to be applied on the affected tooth. Please advise if it safe to use on 3.8 year old.

The medication (Glenmark Candid _B cream) is not adviced for Tooth ache...
clotrimazole is an Anti fungal medication used for Fungal infection
Betamethasone is a steroid drug used for itching,redness,swelling of skin
The above mentioned medication is used on skin infections
IT IS NOT SAFE FOR YOUR CHILD....

Hi this is a antifingal and a steroid combination. I don’t think u need to use this unless u have a fungal infection in the mouth. Considering your sons age u can give him ibugesic junior as a pain killer.
