Pain in the tooth points towards an infection, so a filling will mostly be useless.. Better to go to a dentist and get an RCT done.

You should visit a dentist.  Only after xray (IOPA), your doctor would be able to diagnose and treat.

A tooth with pain generally indicates that there is infection inside the tooth. So a dental filling won't be of much help as it only takes care of the outside of the tooth. You also have to confirm the type of pain, if it is paining only when you eat cold, sweet or sour things then a filling may be possible. If it is paining all the time or if the pain increases when you take hot food then better go for RCT.
Next Steps
Visit dentist and get xray to confirm the degree of tooth damage.
Health Tips
Lukewarm salt water rinse thrice daily will help with the pain a little. Do not put hot compress or pain balm on that side cheek. It may cause swelling.

Hello, if there is pain it indicates that the decay is deep and the infection has reached the nerves (pulp), therefore that particular tooth might go for RCT. For confirmation visit a dentist, get an x-ray done and treatment accordingly.
Next Steps
