Infection could be one of the reason in gums or there can be decay progressing under the filling, get a proper clinical examination done for this.

Hello, visit a dentist and get it checked, get an X-ray done. if there is infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. then get a crown placed over it. if not, then you can go for veneers.

Either it is because of reinfection of root canal or pocket around the margins of crown. An X ray will confirm it.
