Tongue swelling
On 13.07.17 my dad had a sudden swelling in his tongue and was diagnosed with Angioedema tongue. Dr said that it was due to brinjal that he ate that day.His BP was 130/85.After taking medicines Alarax,Esoxem,etc.  Suddenly 2 days back at night he had sudden swelling in his tongue and he couldn't even breath properly and was sweating continuously.(That night he had some bellpeppers ,prunes and wallnuts). Hetook the tablet Avil and not much improvement occurred but the swelling stopped.Next morning he visited the Dr and he gave the tests of Creatinine,FT4,TSH,Sugar (fasting and pp),Lipid profile, Urine and IGE for allergy.Still his words are not clear and couldn't speak clearly. Till tomorrow he could only eat fluid food. Pls help us out this tongue swelling problem has started after his typhoid last year. Pls help us.

This is an allergy and to particular foods so he has to take care of it that he should not take any good which causes allergy. He seems to have allergy with vegetables of Brinjal family This is a serious thing and even life threatening . So avoid it

Immediately take to nearby hospital as this angioedema of larynx and tongue which is serious matter

Keep infection of antiallergy and hydrocortisone handy to be given immediately as any thing given by mouth at this time will be dangerous
