Hi
I had no problem in mouth, but since a few weeks I have been having pain in my tongue from 2-3 weeks. Sometimes it's on the right side of tongue and sometimes on left. But I can't see any sore or something. I have no other issue or trouble.
One month ago I felt like I have elevated paippillae but I visted an ENT and he said it's usual and is completely normal. He did a check up of neck as well and sent me home without any medication.
Due to my office hours I have to eat outside food at least once a day.
The pain stays for a day or two and then vanishes and then arrives on alternate sides of tongue.

If ur job is stressful ,there is possibility of a condition called lichen planus, which will show white curvy lines on sides of tongue. It's early indications r burning sensation in those areas. Check if it so.. Then treatment is triamcinolone ointment, apply in those areas.

Could be small ulcers on the sides of the tongue. Or even the wisdom teeth can cause that area to get inflamed. Get a check up from a dentist if it is persistent.
