Hi, It is quite possible for the alignment of your jaw might have changed after removal of your wisdom teeth The tmj might be stressed ..tmj being a complex joint below the ear Sometimes they are self healing Little precautions taken at right time can help Do not worry
Next Steps
1do not keep testing or checking the popping and crepitation as the area needs to rest 2do not sleep on a very high pillow avoiding anything sticky or chewy or any food that makes you chew too much 3you must do hot and cold compresses...take a bowl of hot water and cold water(water from the ice not the ice itself) dip the cloth in hot water hold in the region below the ear for about 10 seconds now do the same with cold water 4 repeat 3 times a day 5 avoid opening your mouth too much especially while yawning, eating eat soft for a couple of days the visit any local dentist whenever you can( any local dentist can diagnose this) i hope this was helpful to you regards, Dr. Prachi Lalji
