Tmj jaw lock
I have jaw locked on my right side!Anterior disc displacement without reduction as per the X-ray. And I can insert 2.5 fingers in my mouth. This is the total mouth opening I have.1.5years now; any medication or any exercise which can open my jaw lock? started using mouth guard since 2 months but only pain has reduced as I tightened my jaw at night

Dear Patient,firstly get your thorough check up done for any underlying disease or pathology..Visit your nearby dentist for the same..For temporary relief you can start up with hot water fomentation at home i.e. you can use towel dipped in boiling water and keep on either sides of face( cheek area and jaw line) till it cools down..Do this twice daily..Also you can perform certain exercises at home..this will ease your condition..
