Tmj and Anxiety
Please listen to me... My tmj disorder was started because of excessive jaw clenching, bad posture and poor lifestyle... So as a treatment my dentist suggested me splint therapy and orthodontic treatment with braces but no physical therapy or anything else for my tight jaw, neck and shoulder muscles. Now I am in braces phase...after observing my tmj xray and clinical experiment my dentist had told me that "your tmj is fine". But I have lots of confusion and doubt regarding my tmj.  I always think "whether my treatment is working or not" or "whether there is anything wrong in my tmj or not" etc. I can't keep away my mind from such thoughts and this creates lots of anxiety, confusion, doubt etc. Please tell me how I can be sure that there is nothing wrong in my treatment plan or tm joint and stay away from such negative thoughts? I have attached my post tmj xray for your help... Please don't ignore it.. Please help me!!
