Hello dr , I have myopia of power -11D and -17D, I want your advice for healthy eye sight for long term

First and foremost thing is to get your retina examined by a retina surgeon

As you are a very high myope plz do regular retina screening atleast once in six months with a retina specialist.and if u ever have symptoms like flashes of lights infront of ur eyes plz consult a retina consultant immediately.

Lutein, zeaxanthin are part of the carotenoid family of antioxidants . They  are found in the cells of many types of plants and human retina. these nutrients may help: suppress inflammation defend against free radicals and oxidative stress enhance the sharpness of your vision improve your visual contrast sensitivity reduce glare impairment protect eye tissue from sunlight damage reduce cell loss and death related to eye disease protect your eyes from harmful blue light. But It will not reduce your glass power It may help to maintain the power The highest amount of dietary lutein is found in leafy green vegetables, such as: spinach broccoli lettuce parsley basil leeks peas With that outdoor activities and decreasing the duration of near work like digital devices have been reported very helpful. And monthly follow up is needed for thorough slit lamp examination and glass power and compliance and any retina complications

Junk food , less outdoor activities , more screen time has role in myopia. Avoid these things

Pl have good diet. Have sufficient Sleep. Pl do not strain. Avoid severe coughing,and straining etc.pl have periodical eye examination. Wear the spects continuously. Pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Reduce screen time. Stay hydrated. Consume healthy nutritious diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Annual eye examination.
