There are different types of hearing loss, like conductive, sensorineural and mixed hearing loss. Usually losses categorised under conductive and mixed could recover to some extend with medication or surgery. People with sensorineural hearing loss will usually not get much benefit with medication or surgery, so the possible treatment options for them would be hearing aids or some implantable devices. Consult an Audiologist to get exact diagnosis so that proper treatment could be planned. Hope this helps Regards Vijay Kumar
