Tightening without pain is Braxton Hicks contractions .. which are normal Sit with a watch.  If u hv 3 contractions in ten min lasting 40 sec ... labour pains hv started ...then meet a dr in person

Any tightening of abdomen especially in the 9th month could be labour pains. Visit the treating Gynaecologist immediately.
