Thyroxine sodium 50mcg tablets
Hi I am taking thyroxine 50mcg tablets daily one in the morning for treatment of hypothyroidism from almost 6 months. When tested before 6 months all t3,t4 ,TSH levels are normal . Does continuation of the same tablets till date has any side effects like fear, mood swings and slow response etc bcoz recently after my regular periods, I was facing all these symptoms Does using thyroid tablets even after all levels were normal is safe or is it better to stop using tablets and check levels frequently if required to monitor levels of the same.

If with a particular dosage of a medication the thyroid levels and normal you need to continue taking the same dose If your thyroid levels are normal the symptoms  you r facing are unrelated to neither the medication nor the disease The thyroid levels are normal because of the medication Once you withdraw the levels are going to shoot up again
