Tablet Thyronorm comes in a number of strengths. If I remember correctly your T3, T4 were normal but your TSH was high. Such patients are considered as Subclinical hypothyroidism. In this none of the features of hypothyroid are there but by biochemistry assessment the thyroid is working at suboptimal level. There is no hard and fast rule about whether 25 or 50 mcg. None of these can cause hyperthyroidism. Once the TSH level comes down we may reduce the dose and may even stop Thyronorm.

Hello , Difference btw thyronorm 50 mcg and 25 mcg is the strength of the tablet . 50 mcg has 50 microgram of the component levothyroxin and 25 mcg has 25 mcg of levothyroxin. If ur thyroid levels are normal on 50 mcg , ur doctor will step down the amount of medication given so as to find the lowest and most effective strength of medication required to maintain the same  normal levels.
Next Steps
continue dosage as per doctors order .
