Thyroid TSH high
My TSH level was 6.7-10days back, now its 11. Dr prescribed me a tablet but I dint start it yet...FreeT3& FreeT4 are normal. What may be the reason for this drastic change when normal range is upto 5.5—— please suggest...should I start medication? If I start once should it be continued for rest of my life???

TSH can fluctuate. Always use a reliable lab. Some patients need lifelong levothyroxine and some can attempt taper under close medical supervision. Please discuss with your doctor.
