Hi, My mother is 70 years old. Her thyroid level tsh is 8.9......T3 T4 are normal. She doesn't have any symptoms of thyroid other than knee pain. Should she administrator medicine for thyroid.

Yes she is in Hypothyroidic state as TSH is High level. She requires thyroid supplements.
