Thyroid tablet before thyroid test?
I am on thyronorm 25mcg tablets for high tsh value. My question is that do I need to consume thyronorm tablet even on the day I am going for thyroid checkup ( blood sample). Does it effect the test reading? What is the correct way?

You may take or may not take l-thyroxine tablet on the day of TSH testing- it will not produce any huge impact on your report. But generally we consider that with same dose of l thyroxine you should take at least 6 weeks- which will generally help us to titrate the dose of medicines. But for all practical purposes as patients should not miss the dose of l thyroxine - we should take the dose in the morning of TSH testing.
