Thyroid nodule
Hi, I have a thyroid nodule that is 3cm I had it biopsied and it came back follicular benign. My endocrinologist is telling me that when it is follicular it is impossible to know for sure it’s benign and he recommends removal. However, the ENT is telling me not to worry it’s benign. I trust my endocrinologist but it is surgery so I would like another opinion. Thyroid cancer runs in my family. Thank you.

You endocrinologist is correct. Ideal treatment would be to excise the module and send it for frozen section. There are chances of a cancer lurking in the nodule.
