Yes hypothyroidism cN cause symptoms of depression
Depression can happen without any reason as well

Yes Sir thyroid, diabetes, cardiac illness , our veg diet, vitamins D deficiency.... All are very well know factor for Depression.
But coming other mental health issues....like Anxiety and stressors are also cause of Depression..
.
