My two sons 6 year old and 7 year old have continous fever since 3 days giving crocin ds 5ml and 7ml respectively if fever above 102.5 then i give meftal p 5 ml and 6 ml respectively . Fever is non stop have to give them medicine 4-5 hourly
They have difficulty swallowing and have become dull . Is this viral or bacterial?

From above history it's looking like tonsillopharyngitis, it may be viral r bacterial,for high grade fever along with meftal give luke warm water tepid sponging over body and mouth gargling hot water with picnch of salt is helpful ,if still hav doubts take consultation with us.

Most probably viral only. In viral fever, fever will come in every 6 hours and will be there for 3 days.
Check the temp in the axilla, not in mouth or forehead. If above 100F, give paracetamol first . If fever reoccurs within 6 hours, then use Meftal p (dose you are giving is too less, but as weight not mentioned so cannot help)
For throat ache, cold syrup like Maxtra can help. Also if possible hot salt water gargles.
