Tetnas shot needed ?
Today I got a small red superficial scratch with no bleeding from the corroded metal part of my kitchen tap. My last three TT doses were 11 June 2025, 28 November 2025, and 21 March 2026. I’m unsure about my childhood primary series. Do I need a tetanus shot for this injury, and when is my next dose due?
Here local docotrs in my area keep on saying every six month you need one more shot and take it again as last one crossed 6 month

Don't worry. You need no tetanus toxoid. Next dose after completion of 10 years.

U don't need to get a TT as it's a superficial wound.
Routine TT every 6 month is not required for prophylaxis.

You don't need another tetanus shot for this injury. A superficial scratch like this is a minor, clean wound, and with your last dose just over six months ago, your tetanus cover is still active. Boosters aren't needed every six months once the primary series is complete, that advice isn't the standard schedule.
Next Steps
For an ordinary clean wound like this, boosters are usually spaced about 10 years apart once the primary series and initial boosters are done. Wash the scratch well with soap and water and keep it clean and dry, that's all this injury needs right now.
